– If you going to build anything, it’s important to have good tools. Here are the ones I use.

ScrivenerWhatever I’m writing; shorts and novellas, to serials, for standalone books or series, Scrivener is my go-to writing software. Dealing with beats to rough, then edit to polish, people can’t produce at a high volume without easy drag and drop chapters, simply storage, and push-button compile for publishable files. Scrivener is the first, last, and only software for me.

ScrivenerFastKnowing the proper use of any tool is the key to its effectiveness and Joseph Michael is the perfect teacher. Scrivener is an essential tool for the modern writer, but even after years of use it can still be confusing.  Learn Scrivener Fast is a step-by-step self-paced video course designed to help writers maximize their time. Scrivener is an essential part of my daily flow, and tapping its full potential is paramount. This training helps to keep you writing and not wasting time searching through an operations manual.

EvernoteWriters are note-takers. It’s the key to our creativity. Evernote allows you to capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere. I use Evernote to jot notes, create to-do lists, clip entire Web pages, and recently started recording audio for podcasts.  From iPad, to laptop, to cell phone – Evernote is always with me.

LeadpagesSmart funnels make list building simple, and the right pages makes implementation easy. But if you’re not a coder, or have no idea what really works, you can use a tool like LeadPages to do all the design and testing for you (like I do). Pro templates help us gather names, grow our list, and get more people reading your stories, plus – it saves time!! LeadPages is the hammer in my author’s site toolbox.
